About the role

Applications are invited from experienced and skilled Assistants in Nursing to join our casual roster. You will be a part of a highly dedicated team that provides the best patient-centred care for Palliative patients.

This casual opportunity will be in our Palliative ward located at Neringah Hospital in Wahroonga. We offer applicants a stimulating workplace and a supportive team environment within the unit. Our staff are valued members of the multi-disciplinary team and are encouraged to participate in all learning and development activities.

About you

• Second-year student in Bachelor of Nursing with a desire to work in a palliative care ward, or Certificate III in Healthcare with at least one year's relevant experience.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system
• Time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment
