Sydney-based role with travel to Central Coast
This is an exciting ongoing contracting opportunity for an early career Interior Designer with a minimum of 2 years of experience to contribute to some of Australia’s most unique design and construction projects. The candidate will work collaboratively with the lead Interior Designer and a team of 5 on residential and commercial projects. The role requires working from the Sydney, Stanmore office 4 days a week, with opportunities to work from home where directed. The role may be converted to an alternative engagement type for the right candidate.

- Providing responses to and delegating RFIs, reviewing shop drawings

- Assisting with budgeting, sourcing and procurement
- Bump-in and install
Role Requirements
Essential
- Archicad
- Diploma or Bachelor of Design in Interior Design (or similar)
- AutoCAD
- Sketching
- 2 years experience in residential and commercial projects
- Sourcing knowledge
- Creation of sample boards
- Finish specification
- Fabrics, leathers, tiles, etc.
- Suitability knowledge on durability, stain resistance, etc.
- Treatment options (burnishing, staining, etc.)
- Paint (suitability for spaces)
- Regulatory knowledge such as fire rating, slip rating standards
- Furnishing
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship skills
- Excellent creative thinking and design skills
- Energy and passion for your work and industry
- Driver’s license and own transportation
