The Opportunity
The Department of Paramedicine has been proudly collaborating with Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) since 1999, and has a new 5 year tender to deliver comprehensive first aid and emergency medical response (EMR) training. We're seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Lecturer to be a vital part of our dynamic team, contributing to the provision of high-quality medical first response by fire services across Victoria.
This position will play a pivotal role in training fire fighters, first responders and fire service recruits affiliated with FRV and responsibilities will encompass classroom-based training delivery, collaborating with fellow instructors and handling administrative tasks related to your role. We value your ability to work harmoniously with varying levels of fire service personnel and encourage your active involvement in team teaching. Your interpersonal finesse and independent work ethic will shine as you contribute to the overall success of our education programs.
This position offers a unique blend of teaching and strategic research involvement and will provide you with the chance to create flexible education programs and contribute to the broader research direction of our department. We're seeking candidates with a Bachelor's qualification or higher in Paramedicine, accompanied by a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (TAE; or the ability to undertake the Certificate training).
