Position:Assistant Management Accountant - Serco Facilities Management Unit

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Management Accountant to join our team in Macquarie Park, NSW.
Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Management:
- Provide key support to the Serco FM Finance Business Partner, offering financial support and analysis across the business as required.
- Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their financial needs are met effectively and efficiently.
Financial Management:
- Review cost structures across contracts, identifying potential financial efficiencies and areas of concern, and escalate as required.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial reporting against budget, forecasts, cash flow, and other key performance indicators.
- Conduct monthly transactional reviews of the general ledger and cost center coding, identifying and rectifying any errors or anomalies during the reporting cycle.
- Regularly review financial performance and targets, highlighting key risks and opportunities for effective management.
- Accurately capture and report all payroll costs and headcounts against agreed staffing levels.
- Support operational budget holders in the preparation and review of budgets and forecasts, ensuring ownership by the relevant stakeholders.
- Periodically review fleet policies and costings with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Assist with internal and external audits as required, ensuring compliance and best practices are upheld.
Qualifications and Skills:
- CPA certification or close to certification preferred.
- Proven experience in management accounting or financial analysis roles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in financial reporting.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of facilities management or related industries is advantageous.
