The Role
Working under the General Manager, as Assistant Manager/ 2ic you will be responsible for the general operation of a fantastic recently renovated, multi-faceted venue with great bars, food, gaming, functions & entertainment. This will be a great opportunity for someone that likes to be busy and learn more about the business and strategic aspects of running venues.
You will assist in the overall operation of the venue in line with the needs of the venue and the direction of the GM. This will include creating procedures, developing teams, coming up with innovative ideas. This diverse role will find you working across entertainment, operations, reporting, gaming etc and hone your leadership skills.
You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a Duty Manager or Assistant Managers role
- Strong compliance and industry knowledge
- A good level of gaming experience a plus
- Confidence in managing the venue and the team in a busy environment
- Great beverage and food knowledge
- Natural leadership skills that motivate staff to perform
- The ability to work a rotating roster
- Ability to work autonomously & be trustworthy
