Assistant Manager / Duty Manager

Little Way is a neighbourhood kitchen, coffee shop and wine bar in Nedlands, delivered in a beautiful, contemporary and welcoming setting. With a long trading history of 7+ years, recent expansion of the venue, and featuring in the Good Food Guides top 30 Casual Dining Venues - we are going from strength to strength. 

Open 6 days a week, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner menus along with coffee and drinks all day.  

We are offering 40 hours per week full-time with commensurate salary package (plus super, reviews, annual and sick leave), ongoing support and scope for future promotions and progression, or on a Casual / Part-time basis 20 to 38 hours. Candidate must be available to work a combination of early mornings, weekends and / or evening shifts (2 evenings per week).

The successful Assistant Manager / Duty Manager applicant should possess the following attributes:

• At least 1 years prior experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant / bar, with proven success
• Oversee daily operations, including managing staff, venue bookings, supervision of functions, kitchen liaisons and floor management
• Ability to train staff members effectively and ongoing, and to manage staff performance
• Approved Managers Card required
• Good knowledge across coffee preferred
• Sound wine knowledge / bar service
• Table service experience
• Previous function experience will be highly regarded.
• The ability to lead and inspire your Front of House team to deliver the very best customer service
• Treat the venue as your own - make it the absolute best you can, use your initiative and be part of creating something special
