Greenspace Childcare is a privately owned and operated service set on an oversized block, with oversized outdoor natural play spaces, oversized rooms. This role is open to a 9 day fortnight - focusing on work life balance.
You will work with a highly experienced team of senior educators. This is a non-contact role.
The successful applicant will hold the following qualifications/experience
- Minimum Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education
- Have previous experience as a Room Leader and or Educational Leader
- Utilize your amazing inter personal skills to help develop reflective practices with the team
- Identify areas of improvement and support educators in their planning
- Possess a high level of communication skills
- A strong understanding of the EYLF and NQS
- Current Blue Card
- First aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma training
- Possess a positive mindset in relation to establishing practices that best support the children in their day to day lives.

Your role will include
- Provide direct assistance and support to the service manager (also your direct report)
- Tours for new families, conduct new family inductions, follow up on enquiries
- Support service manager to monitor weekly occupancy
- Manage daily casual and permanent vacancies
- Support service manager with rosters and monitoring of team members hours
- Support new team members with inductions and settling into the team
- Work with the centre manager to mentor and support the centre to Exceed the National Quality Standards
- Answering phones, emails, meet and greet and provide support to families
- Ensuring our families journey with us is always smooth, positive and seamless
- Support the Service Manager to maintain effective and open communication with families
- Manage schedules and deadlines
- Oversee maintenance activities and tradespersons onsite as directed by the Service Manager or Owner.
- Support and ensure centre operations adhere to policies and regulations
- Support the Service Manager with supervision and onboarding of students on placement
- Support the Service Manager with evacuation/lock down and medical emergencies procedures
- Support our teams in your Educational Leader role across both services.
The skills you will posses
- Ability to work in a busy face paced environment/larger service
- Experience in the use of Owna childcare software preferred but not essential
- Understanding of the Childcare subsidy
- Proficient with MS Office programs
- Proficient in digital platforms
- An analytical mind with problem solving skills
- Great organisational and multitasking abilities
- A team player with leaderships skills with demonstrating ability to work in team/cooperative situation
- Displays a high level of general work ethics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively autonomously and as part of a team
