The Role
Reporting directly to the Front Office Manager, this hands-on position will provide you with the opportunity to lead by example encouraging a positive team culture, building the capabilities of the team and taking the guest experience to the next level.
You will be passionate about ensuring all team members provide a warm genuine welcome to guests, anticipate their needs and go above and beyond to create memorable moments.
Key Responsibilities
Your day to day duties will be wide and varied including but not limited to the following
- Motivate, support and train the Front Office Team to ensure a positive team culture and all standards are delivered at all times
- Oversee and coordinate all arrivals and departures including special guests and VIP's
- Maintaining daily reports, and lead the morning operation briefings for the team
- In conjunction with the Front Office Manager, lead the team to increase ALL loyalty program enrolments
- Deal with guest complaints and issues ensuring prompt resolution or escalation where necessary
- Review guest feedback to ensure good feedback is recognised and improvements are identified and implemented where required

About You
- Previous experience in a Front Office Supervisory role or above within the hospitality industry is essential
- A passion for creating exceptional experiences for our guests and leading the team
- Excellent problem resolution skills along with outstanding communication and active listening skills
- Impeccable personal presentation to lead the team by example
- The ability to work autonomously and exceptional time management skills
- Ability to work a flexible roster including shift work, night work, weekends and public holidays
The Basics
- Sound experience using Opera property management system or equivalent
- Understanding emergency response procedures
- Holds a current RSA and First Aid Certificate
- Have a working knowledge and understanding of legal compliance, SOP’s, WHS, modern award framework and national employment standards
