Assistant Manager

Lawson Delaney are currently assisting this well-recognised professional services firm recruit an Assistant Manager for their team.  You may be currently working at this level or be a Senior Accountant keen to step up.

What you'll do:

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for private businesses, high net worth individuals and some charitable organisations
• Work on complex business structures
• Utilise your experience with Div 7A, GST, FBT and CGT
• Supervise and coach Junior staff members including review of work
• Work directly with the Partner on complex advisory engagements which may include tax planning, restructures, sale and purchase of businesses, valuation, estate planning, wealth planning, cashflow reporting, shareholder agreements and asset protection
• Liaise with clients

What you will bring:

• Completion or close to completion of CA/CPA qualifications
• Around 3-5 years + experience in an Australian professional practice environment
• Previous experience in the supervision of others
• Excellent communication skills enabling effective mentoring of less experienced Accountants
