The Dining Room under Dining by James Viles (One Hat) is a signature restaurant of Park Hyatt Sydney and are looking for Restaurant Manager that are looking to further career with Australia’s award-winning hotel.
We are searching for passionate Assistant Manager who are focused on exceptional guest experience and are ready to bring their management skills and engaging personality to our signature restaurant. Led by James Viles a respected chef and author, whose menu inspiration stems from the finest regional and coastal ingredients of Australia and a vision and dedication to sustainability. The Dining Room by James Viles will look to become one of Sydney’s food and drink destination for tourists and locals alike.
About the Role
- Assists the Restaurant Manager to ensure that The Dining Room operates successfully and in accordance with brand standards
- Works closely with the other Outlet Managers in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of guests.
- Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
- Handles guest enquires in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to supervisors if there is no immediate solution and assure follow up with guests.
- To have a full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned place of work to the set standards.
- Assists in on-boarding new associates
- Assists to maximise the effectiveness of employees by developing each of their skills and abilities through the appropriate training, coaching and/or mentoring.
- Salary Range: $70k~75K per annum
To be considered for this role the candidate should possess the following:
- Current NSW RSA Competency Card
- Minimum 2 years experience in a fine dining restaurant or similar environment, experience in a Hatted restaurant is desirable
- Diploma qualification in Hospitality, Restaurant Management or Business Management or similar
- Strong food and beverage service skills
- Strong knowledge of wines and other beverages Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Familiar with wine styles and grape varieties and other beverage items
- Proficiency in computer literacy skills
