The increased scale and complexity of the market provide an opportunity for an experienced, hands-on Assistant Sales Manager to join their growing team in
this new role.
The Role
The Assistant Manager Tools - Ballarat role will see you complete a diverse range of duties to support the ongoing growth and success of Mesh & Masonry. As a natural people leader, you will proactively develop and empower your team, supporting them to achieve Tools Division sales, customer service, stock performance targets. You will leverage your sales and people management experience to mentor staff and, as a team, continuously improve Mesh & Masonry’s Tools division at Ballarat.
Mesh & Masonry’s mission is the Convenient Supply of Specialty Products. You will help your team deliver on this promise by ensuring consistency of customer service, seamless internal processes and rigor around sales and performance targets. As part of the Mesh & Masonry Leadership Team you will support the development and tracking of budgets and assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures that help drive Mesh & Masonry forward.

Duties
- Develop your team to ensure current product knowledge
- Ensure sales order accuracy including actioning quote feedback and follow-up
- Support maximizing the sales potential of the Tools Ballarat division
- Mentor your team to deliver exceptional customer service
- Ensure stock availability, presentation and promotion metrics are met or exceeded
- Assist the Manager with staff rostering, training and performance obligations
- Demonstrated experience in a similar Assistant Manager role
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead, mentor and develop diverse teams to reach performance targets
- Positive and proactive approach with exceptional attention to detail
- Industry knowledge would be advantageous
