The Assistant Manager, Trade and Supply Chain Services, USA is critical to make this happen and will be working closely with Relationship Managers, Transaction Banking Sales, and Group Capability Centre (GCC) teams to ensure daily Trade and Supply Chain transactions including Import/Export LCs, Standby LCs and Supply Chain Finance) are completed on time and customer expectations are met. The role provides external and internal customers quality services including production of accurate reporting and resolution of any system and data issues. In addition, the role will provide coverage within the Trade Services team and assist in operational projects and initiatives
Key responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to
Provide excellent customer service by timely processing of transactions, prompt response to inquiries and regular follow ups via customer visits or calls
Understand our Trade customers’ needs and provide operational insights and solutions to meet their specific Trade processing requirements resulting in better customer experience
Monitor daily work queues both via DSD and Outlook to ensure timely and accurate handling of transactions, including DSD case management
Ensure all transactions are processed in accordance with internal trade policies, procedures or any other governing rules such as UCP 600, ISP98. Sanctions policies are to be applied to all transactions and issues escalated in accordance with the Trade Escalation Policy
Ensure proper maintenance of transaction records.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with GCC staff, Trade Services counterparts, Trade Sales, Trade Product, Relationship Managers and other key stakeholders
Ensure consistency, data integrity and compliance with ANZ’s policies and procedures

'What will you bring?'
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Solid Knowledge of Trade products, Supply Chain (receivable and payable), Import and Export LCs, especially Guarantees/Standby LCs language and processing (including thorough knowledge of International Chamber of Commerce Publications relative to Guarantees and SBLCs. CDCS (Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists) and/or CSDG (Certificate for Specialists in Demand Guarantees) a plus
Strong working experience in Trade Services with a customer service focus and experience working under an in-country and offshore operating model
Excellent Customer service skills with some basic sales knowledge to identify referral opportunities to the Sales Team.
Strong IT and Microsoft office skills for reporting, record keeping, and presenting with the ability to learn and utilise new bank systems quickly and efficiently (Trade360, MIDANZ and Razor core systems interface, as well as Trade Transactive Portal a plus)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills to identify issues involved in complex transactions and develop solutions to meet business and /or customer needs
Able to work under pressure and perform time management to deliver priorities

Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this position is US$120,000 to US$140,000
This range is determined by the job, location and level of expertise required for this specific role. The final salary offered will consider your capabilities, skills and knowledge.
