We are presently seeking an Assistant Hospitality Manager to assist with the operations of the catering at one of Melbourne’s most prestigious residential colleges in Parkville. Reporting to the Hospitality Manager, you will use your events management experience to host a range of events from intimate business lunches for 2 through to cocktail events for 500 as well as catering for the onsite residential students. Shifts will alternate between predominately Monday to Friday 7,00am-3pm or 12pm-8pm This position will also include weekend work on occasions Other key responsibilities include: a range of administrative duties including processing of invoices, creation of client accounts, payroll, filing and upkeep of records assist with managing the day to day operations of retail, residential and events encouraging team members to develop their skills through performance planning and continuous training. working closely with the team to ensure all legislative compliance and standards are met to minimise risk and maximise business efficiency and outcomes. driving revenue and harnessing new opportunities. delivering a level of innovation to residential, function, conferencing and retail food product and service. In addition, you can demonstrate: experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or food service industry· Outstanding client service focus demonstrated by superior communication ability. proven experience in managing people and change within a constantly changing and dynamic environment.
