Our clients are a family farming business operating over 5,300 hectares across two properties in the Young and Harden districts in the southwest slopes of NSW. Currently running 8-10,000 breeding ewes, trade up to 5000 merino wether lambs, and opportune agist and trade cattle up to 1,500 hd.
They focus on growing highly improved pastures and quality crops for fodder and grain, annually planting 1900ha of winter crops, including canola, wheat and barley.

The job entails managing the daily operations of a 2,000-hectare property in Young, NSW. This includes executing annual cropping, grazing, and pasture programs, caring for livestock, managing infrastructure, and operating and maintaining machinery. You will be leading and guiding a motivated team while demonstrating teamwork, motivation, and dedication to advancing your career in agriculture. The role is based on a farm located 25 km west of Young NSW.

Requirements & Skills
We are searching for a passionate and enthusiastic person to join our team as Assistant Manager in a full-time permanent role reporting to the owner/manager.
- 2 – 3 years experience in farming environments
- Experience in operating and maintaining a range of large farm machinery.
- Skills in maintenance and repairs of infrastructure
- Monitor livestock health and crops
- Good record keeping.
- Driver’s licence, HC truck (preferred but not essential)
- Chemical users’ certificate
- Own working dogs would be well regarded.
