The Royal Australian Navy's (RAN) Bridge Training Faculty (BTF) is a world class training facility that features 6 full and 4-part mission simulators for training Naval Officers in navigation and warfare using simulation technology.
We are proud to support the Australian Defence Force and have been providing critical support services in our region since 1997.
We help in ways that matter such as the maintenance of biomedical equipment and complex weapon systems, integrated logistics, simulator-based training, asset management, engineering and project management, the provision of professional maritime support as well as operating a range of marine vessels.
We are also proud to have been selected to design, build and operate the Australian Antarctic Division's state-of-the-art icebreaker.
The role requirement have changed to meet the evolving needs of the RAN; these changes include a revised salary package.
The Assistant Maritime Warfare Instructor works alongside the Senior Maritime Warfare Instructor and RAN staff to provide high quality training to Maritime Warfare Officers.
Specifically, the role requires the Assistant Maritime Warfare Instructor to operate the simulator and act as an integral part of the training team to provide realistic scenario-based training to RAN Officers.
SERCO will provide training to meet these specific requirements as well as aid in gaining civilian qualifications in Training and Assessment.
The current incumbents in role come from a variety of CSO, MW and CIS backgrounds but expressions of interest are sought from individuals with common goals and skill sets that may align with the job description.
The incumbent of this position MUST hold or be able to gain and maintain a defence security clearance of NV- SECRET, or above.
