The Renton Family Trust Aged Care has 2 residential facilities located at Algester and Ipswich and we are seeking Assistant Nurses and Kitchen Hands for both our facilities. Algester Lodge and Bundaleer Lodge Nursing Home are well established facilities which provides residential care to residents with high care, low care and dementia care needs. Assistant Nurse Positions:
The primary purpose of these positions is to provide a high level of care and support our residents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living under supervision and direction of the registered Nurse
- Supporting and promoting activity programs, including assisting residents to go on social outings
- Maintaining a safe and pleasant homelike environment
- Complying with Accreditation Standards and within the spirit of continuous improvement
- Complete comprehensive documentation
To be successful in this role you must have a Cert III in Aged Care and hold an NDIS Workers Screening, or be willing to obtain one. Experience in aged care, and/or dementia care would be an advantage but not required as full training will be provided.
Kitchen Hand Positions:
The primary purpose of this role is to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment and help the cook prepare and serve delicious and nutritious meals for a large residential facility. This includes;
- preparing and serve appetizing, nutritional and well balanced meals
- maintaining safe food handling practices
- cleaning of the kitchen and associated equipment
- following and completing documentation
No qualifications required as full training will be provided, however experience in working in a large commercial kitchen is an advantage. Any successful applicants for this role must have or be willing to obtain an NDIS workers screening or police clearance.
