We're looking for an Assistant Production Accountant to join our team here in Aotearoa reporting to our Project Financial Analyst in this fixed term maternity leave cover position. Joining our team you'll take accountability for providing financial and business support to the NZ Commercial Buying team to help improve their financial performance.About the Role | Mō te Tūranga
As our Assistant Production Accountant your role is to support the team in performing their specialist function in the most efficient way. As part of our team you will contribute by analysing, managing and reporting information and providing baseline specialist advice on issues to the stakeholders within Woolworths.Some of your new responsibilities will be:
- Complete goods receipting of purchase orders for Meat and Seafood in SAP on a timely basis.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders in the event of variances in receipting to PO values.
- Process manual vendor invoices through Smartsheets.
- Attend to and resolve account queries from large vendors and build excellent relationships.
- Prepare and upload weekly journals through Google Sheets.
- Liaising with shared services team in Australia on matters related to the payment of vendors.
- Be an active member of the Financial Planning team and help in the sharing of knowledge & development of the team.
- Prepare reports as required to business team in order to highlight trends, risks and opportunities on key profitability indicators.
- Provide training to business teams in understanding and interpreting key profitability indicators.
- Be a positive advocate for process improvement and change.
To succeed in this role you will need to have previous experience with data entry and a BA qualification in a business related field is preferred.
To be successful in this position, you will have strong systems experience (SAP) and be a good communicator, coupled with relationship building skills.
