We are a small design and construction company that specialises in high-end retail, commercial and bespoke residential fitouts and have built a strong reputation on delivering high quality projects to our clients.
We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic and versatile individual to join our team as a Assistant Project Coordinator/Site Junior. This hybrid role blends office-based coordination and hands on site work.
Responsibilities
• Working closely with the Project Management team, assist in coordinating small to medium-sized design and fitout projects
• material procurement as necessary
• liaise with suppliers and contractors
• maintain accurate paperwork for purchase orders, invoices and communications
• handle site permits and logistics
• work in a hands-on capacity on site
• assist in the coordination of sub-contractors and trades as instructed
• keep track of site activity
• coordinate deliveries to site
• ensure safety is a priority
• maintain site in a clean and tidy manner
Requirements
• experience in construction area with exposure to retail, commercial and/or residential projects
• strong communication and interpersonal skills
• ability to adhere to project scope
• eagerness to learn and grow within the field
• ability to adapt to various project stages and tasks, from office based coordination to on-site work
• proactive attitude with a readiness to take on new challenges and responsibilities
• ability to guide and coordinate others on site as instructed
• drivers license with own vehicle preferred
• construction white card
• Qualifications in Cert IV Building and Construction not essential but highly regarded
