Our Federal Government Client is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to lead and/or support assigned project and change activities within the scope of their endorsed Project Management Plan and Change Management Plan.
Reporting to the Manager Governance via the Project Manager, the Assistant Project Manager will conduct assigned project activities as directed, including the following: * Support specific project deliverables for example
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks and issues.
- Develop SharePoint lists per stakeholder endorsed designs including RAID registers and other lists as authorised within the scope of the project.
- P3M Framework
- Assist the Project Manager with the development the Client's P3M Framework and its related processes and artefacts, including testing. review and revision.
- Translate business requirements to develop Power BI reports and/or PowerApps per stakeholder endorsed designs.
- Develop and/or assist in the development of SharePoint pages and contents for the P3M Framework.
- Change management activities
- Support the Project Manager to execute the Change Management and Communications Plan including consultation with key stakeholders and developing associated change and communication materials.
- Assist the PMO in developing and delivering training on P3M Frameworks
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and/or managing a Portfolio Management Office, including building internal capability.
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects/programs in an environment with a mature PMO.
- Extensive knowledge in P3M frameworks and methodologies, such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, MSP, and P3O.
- Experience in the development and implementation of P3M frameworks, governance, policies, processes, procedures, and artefacts, including but not limited to:
- developing and implementing strategic prioritisation
- benefit management
- risk management
- financial management, including program/project budget planning and tracking
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills in engaging stakeholders, mentoring, reporting, negotiation, and project/program documentation.
- Advanced skills in using the MS Office suite (Words, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) and MS Project.
- Sound knowledge of Share Point, PowerBI and PowerApps to enable development of business requirements, customisation of reports and lists and App development.
Demonstrated experience in establishing and/or managing a Portfolio Management Office, including building internal capability and extensive knowledge of P3M frameworks and methodologies. * Demonstrated experience in managing projects/programs in an environment with a mature PMO.
