The OpportunityDue to our continued evolution, we are adding the role of AssistantSupport Coordinator to our passionate team.
The successful candidate will develop knowledge and skills to equip them to progress to the role of Support Coordinator once all KPIs and competencies within this role are achieved.

Conditions of EmploymentInitial 12-month maximum term appointment, including a 6-month probationary period. At the completion of 12 months, a permanent, full-time opportunity may be considered based on the candidate's performance and business needs.
The RoleThe primary responsibility of this role is to assist our Practice Leaders and Support Coordination team in ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the department's administrative functions. This includes maintaining knowledge of the participant database and NDIA portal and carrying out all administrative duties to assist with onboarding new customers.
This role is a 75/25 split between billable work, focusing on direct support activities and general administration duties, ensuring smooth operations of the department.
The ability to foster and develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, customers, and families is an essential requirement of the position.
Success in this role is marked by:
- Strong organisational skills, including time management and meeting KPI targets concerning service delivery.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of our customer database, ensuring accurate and efficient data entry and management.
- Assisting Support Coordinators by providing detailed research to identify service providers with immediate capacity and adding these provider details to our database
- Undertaking Level 1 Support Connection and supervised non-complex Level 2 Support Coordination tasks under supervision.
- Collecting, compiling and preparing information, documentation and correspondence in line with business requirements to support service delivery and engagement
- Fostering and developing strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate, relevant and factual notes and other documentation
- Reporting on customer progress, goals, fund utilisation, linkages to services and changes in needs or circumstances
- Ensuring customers receive value-for-money support that builds their capacity and independence.
You Will:
- Have or be working towards a minimum Certificate 4 in Disability or other relevant Community Services-related discipline and experience working with people with disabilities
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the needs of people living with disability
- Demonstrate an understanding of the role of Support Coordination
- Have the ability to work autonomously and cooperatively as a member of a team
- Demonstrate ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and cultures.
- Demonstrate highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, including working and communicating effectively with clients, their families, community agencies and other professionals
- Have the ability to interpret information from other sources/documents and present information in a manner appropriate to the purpose and audience
- Have a demonstrated ability to analyse and exercise good judgment in problem-solving and decision-making, committed to continuous quality improvement.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possess resilience and initiative, with a natural ability for problem-solving and networking
- Be process-oriented with excellent organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
- Possess excellent computer and CRM skills
