Form of workDue to a recent expansion in demand of the Tasmanian Distribution Centre (TDC), we require an experienced, professional and capable warehouse specialist to assist at our Brighton based depot.

This newly created role reports directly to the TDC Manager and is responsible for:
• Ensuring that all SRT & Customer WHS policies, procedures and SOP’s are adhered to by all persons on site.
• Ensure strict compliance with Quality Assurance systems.
• Assist with the preparation and implementation of TDC/SRT strategic goals.
• Undertake timely completion of daily, weekly and monthly reports including reporting on OTD’s and communication trends.
• Assist with wage and resource budget development and cost reviews by providing regular wage analysis reports.
• Assist with employee recruitment, rostering and resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective utilisation of resources.
• Review accuracy of information entered into relevant IT systems.
• Participate with senior management relating to tasks such as problem solving and planning, including the capacity to identify system changes.
• Assist the TDC Manager with managing resources both physical and human and compliance with best practice WHS management

You will work closely with our team to:
• Maximise efficiencies in warehouse throughput, freight storage and delivery processes.
• Ensure adherence to workplace policies and procedures.
• Ensure all freight is stored having regard to temperature, access requirements and stock rotation.
• Oversee reporting on cost control and budget adherence of the TDC.
• Monitor site security and safety including ensuring site inductions are undertaken for all visitors and contractors.
• Understudy all aspects of the TDC Manager’s responsibilities and fill in during absences.
• Ensure the accurate completion of Paperwork and systems by all staff, including Monitoring QA compliance and customer reporting.
• Oversee the accuracy of stock records for warehousing entered into the Customers Warehouse Management System. Ensuring staff employ FIFO stock rotation practices when picking and receiving orders etc.
• Ensure TDC audits are completed on time and actions from audits are followed up and rectified in a timely manner.
• Assisting with the efficient allocation of resources and undertake regular reviews of runs / human resource allocation to identify inefficiencies.
• Records Management - Collating signed employee acknowledgements for Tool Box meetings, Safety Bulletins, Memos, refresher training competency assessments etc.
This position would ideally suit someone who has warehouse inventory credentials! Is a professional strong leader / mentor and has proven capacity to successfully support the team in a busy Warehouse environment. You will also need to be a dynamic and professional leader with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, as is required by a 6 day a week 24 hour per day operation. This is a challenging role and not for the faint hearted!
