Join our team as the Assistant Venues Manager at The Star Brisbane.
The Star Brisbane, positioned at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, will be Australia’s newest entertainment and leisure destination. Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop and socialise in the river city.
As the Assistant Venue Manager, you will be the secret ingredient to our successful food and beverage venues at The Star Brisbane. You will work closely with our Venue Managers to ensure smooth operations of our venues. You will assist with managing and developing team members to ensure efficient and effective operations are achieved.

A few of your responsibilities
- Support the Venues Manager/Operations Manager in the development and implementation of business plans for F&B venues
- Implement strategies to increase repeat guests and positive guest experiences
- Manage the operational requirements of the venue and provide leadership and direction
- Maintain a guest focus in all services, ensuring that guest service delivery effective and efficient
- Communicate and implement policies and procedures to ensure quality service standards are maintained
- Ensure the department is compliant with policies, procedures - including Liquor Licensing, WH&S and Food Safety
What we are looking for
- Previous supervisory experience in a similar role
- Your passion and enthusiasm for the hospitality industry and leading operational teams to deliver great guest experiences
- Your drive and motivation to continue growing your career within an integrated resort
- Accreditation in Responsible Service of Alcohol – RMLV/Approved Manager an advantage

You will bring your previous leadership experience within a fast-paced restaurant or bar environment. You will have the ability to showcase your excellent communication skills, and your passion for providing five-star guest service. You will have a demonstrated ability in forward planning and problem solving. You use your confident and professional approach when coaching and upskilling the team, through regular training and development programs.
