We are seeking to expand our pool of casual relief Assistants, both in our Early Childhood and Primary School faculties.
About the role
In Early Childhood, the role of Assistant is to support the Room Leader/Teacher with the preparation of activities and domestic duties such as morning tea preparation, cleaning and washing and the supervision of children between the ages of three and six, both inside the rooms and outside in the playgrounds. The Assistant is an integral adult in the room and the role also requires an understanding of the intimate and dynamic professional working relationship with the teacher as well as the developmental needs of the children according to the principles of Steiner Early Childhood Education.
In the Primary School, you may be allocated to a class or various classes to support the Classroom Teacher in delivering the curriculum, whilst catering for the needs of students with an identified disability or other additional needs.

- Minimum Certificate III in Children’s Services
- Education support qualifications highly desirable (for Primary School)
- First Aid Certificate
- Current Working with Vulnerable People (WwVP) registration
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
