Working as Assisted Transport Support Officer you will help to enhance the independence and quality of life of our customers. You will assist young people living with a disability travel to and from school safely each day by providing door to School Transport services.The roles are fulltime, casual on call, sometimes with short notice and operate Monday to Friday within school term time only. Flexible availability is required to work both the morning and afternoon school runs during school term time. Some key accountabilities of the role include:
Liaise within the Transport team to provide the efficient Assisted School Transport services.
- Provide safe door to door transport to and from school for children, some of whom live with a disability.
- Provision of safe and comfortable transport services to match the needs of the students.
- Complete record keeping of trips as required by Core Assist.
- Assist and have a strong commitment and understanding of younger persons with a disability.
- Enhance the quality of life for eligible clients by providing transport.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness as directed by Core Assist.
- C Class Australian Drivers Licence required (transport will be provided in a sedan or small minivan)

Skills and experience
- Our Assisted Travel Support Officers must be friendly and polite, good communicators, reliable and flexible.
- ATSOs must have a working with children check.
- The role requires communicating daily with students, parents and teachers.
