The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Assistant Manager (2IC) to join our team. Based in Toowoomba, you will be responsible for assisting The Operations Manager in the day-to-day and end-to-end running of two facilities whilst leading the already established team in a fast-paced and exciting environment to deliver an unbeatable client experience.
This role is both strategic and hands on, covering all aspects of the business from administration, customer service, staff management and key stakeholder engagement.
The Assistant Manager will:
- Manage a team of staff, including shift rostering
- Oversee the operations on a day-to-day basis
- Organise the scheduling of pickups and deliveries
- Ensure all staff comply with Containers for Cash’s training requirements
- Perform administrative tasks such as handling organisational processes and managing inventory
- Strive to achieve and uphold a high level of customer service
- Establish and manage relations with employees, customers and the public
- Key Stakeholder engagement
- Identify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement
- Uphold a high level of safety at all times
- Ability to work a rotating weekend roster
- Mechanically minded to identify machine faults
- Capability to undertake physical tasks where required
About you:
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Strong leadership skills with effective communication
- Moderate computer skills
- Results orientated, always striving to improve efficiencies
- Well developed people and time management skills
- Ability to manage and motivate staff effectively
- Forklift licence is preferable, but not essential
- Minimum 2 years previous experience in a similar leadership role
- Strong leadership and team engagement skills
- Ability to make timely and sound decisions whilst working under pressure
- Hands-on leadership approach
- The ability to work a rotating weekend roster
