About The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experience Lawyer (3+ years PAE) to practice in general commercial dispute resolution matters.
The role will offer varied and stimulating work with Principals on a variety of disputes in a number of jurisdictions, client contact and a supportive team environment.
Day to day:
- Conducting litigation and dispute resolution matters
- Appearing at pre-hearing conferences and directions hearings
- Drafting statement of Claims for proceedings
- Drafting briefs to Counsel
- Preparing and organising mediations in Supreme and District Court
- Supervision and mentoring of junior staff
- Tertiary qualification in Law and a current Practicing Certificate
- Suitable candidates will bring 3+ years PAE
- Demonstrate critical reasoning and investigative skills with the ability to think laterally
- Strong legal drafting ability
- Effective and timely file management and billing ability
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
