The Business:
The Business have operations & offices across the globe and have a strong team of consultants in Sydney at all levels. They work with clients across three key areas being insurance, investments & superannuation as well as service providers such as platforms to these industries. The projects they work on provide a lot of variety and cover an interesting spectrum whilst consistently having a quantitative analysis focus.
The Role:
As a consultant you will be responsible for picking up and running with a variety of roles. It is unlikely that any day will be the same and will be heavily dependent on the work that is ongoing at any time. Your key responsibilities will be working on consulting and data analysis in line with client expectations. Key areas revolve around business & market insights in the wider insurance industry. To become successful in the role it will be important that you can develop and maintain key contacts in the industry to help aid your contributions, contribute to publications released by the business and provide ideas for new projects and work areas.
The Candidate:
There are a few personal attributes that are highly important to being successful in a role of this nature but the general requirements involve:
- An actuarial education background
- Relevant experience in financial service consulting of a minimum 2 years ideally the life insurance industry (This could be from a variety of roles & areas but a quantitative or analysis focus will help)
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to connect with people on all levels
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in SQL is desirable
- A strategically oriented mindset
To succeed in the industry a mindset that places curiosity and collaboration to achieve results is essential.
