What’s the job?
We are seeking an innovative and ambitious candidate who will provide the strategic and scholarly leadership for portfolio (department) within the Faculty of Business and Hospitality, including the MBA and Bachelor of Business programs, ensuring academic integrity and quality.
The successful candidate will be appointed at an Associate Professor or Professor level depending on the background and experience of the candidate. This is a national role that has responsibility for overseeing the quality of teaching and learning with staff and students across Australia and offshore, with preference for the incumbent to be based in either our Sydney or Adelaide campus.
The successful candidate is expected to have a strong reputation and demonstrated ability in leading teaching and learning governance, initiatives to enhance student experience, innovation in delivery and assessment and programs to enhance high quality graduate outcomes and employability. Experience with online education and other new emerging modalities is important.
The role is full time permanent and can either based in either our Sydney or Adelaide campus. Flexible work arrangements are possible (the team currently works on a hybrid model). We are looking for someone who can ideally start in May 2024. You will need full ongoing working rights - no sponsorship.

The ideal candidate will have:
A doctoral qualification, preferably in Business ideally with relevant industry experience
A track record of research in the business discipline
Significant track record of leadership in tertiary education including contribution to education policy, processes and governance
Experience in leading innovation within an academic or business environment
Demonstrated track record of contributions to teaching and learning and an intellectual leadership in a defined discipline area
Experience in developing, leading and managing high performance teams
