Where you’ll be working 
The Workforce Planning and Talent Development Branch (WPTD) is a part of the People, Culture and Governance Division of the NSW Ministry of Health, and is responsible for planning, developing, facilitating, and evaluating workforce, culture and talent strategies across the NSW health system, to improve health outcomes for the people of NSW. In collaboration with national and state agencies and other stakeholders, WPTD aims to establish a clear picture of the health workforce now and into the future to improve workforce supply and distribution.

About the Role 
The Associate Director, Business Development is responsible for providing expert business and operational advice on medical locum reform across the NSW Health system.  The role will lead the consideration of system-wide business proposals and/or targeted business approaches for medical locum management in NSW Health Local Health Districts and Specialty Networks.
 
Central to the position is the development of a proposal analysing the merits of inhouse management of medical locums throughout NSW Health.  will include market research and financial modelling.
 
The Associate Director will work collaboratively with senior personnel of NSW Local Health District and Specialty Networks to understand current processes, limitations and opportunities to inform the development of reforms that achieve efficiencies, business improvement and system-wide change.
