About the role
Due to an expanding client base, we are seeking an Associate Director to become an integral member of our Business & Private Client Advisory division. Responsible for ensuring the division is a healthy, profitable, efficient and developing business within SW Accountants & Advisors, you will also guarantee the division meets its Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and the expectations of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage and administer an existing portfolio of SW clients
- Provide leadership, support and resources to the management group
- Provide input into determining the Key Performance Indicators, budgets and future direction of the division
- Deliver cost effective administration of the division
- Ensure the technical expertise, and level of client service provided by the division is of a high standard
- Provide all staff with quality training and professional development opportunities
- Ensure Managers and senior staff provide appropriate levels of guidance, feedback and support to staff
- Participate in the selection of staff into the division and the development of a positive, client service culture within the division
- Other duties required by the Firm or the Partners
Key Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience working in a Business Services environment in a Chartered / CPA accounting practice and have had significant exposure to tax and financial accounting
- Must be a fully qualified CA / CPA
- Technically proficient and up to date with taxation law and accounting developments
- Confident reviewing client work, identifying issues and opportunities to value add
- Experienced at developing good working relationships with clients
- Excellent time management skills and ability to ensure deadlines are met for a large group of clients.
- Exceptional staff leadership skills and prior experience in managing and developing staff
- Experience in managing work flow, WIPs and have experience in setting KPI’s and achieving them
- Present professionally and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills which will be
- Prior experience working with Solution 6/APS, MYOB, Quickbooks and be competent in Microsoft Excel
