They are now looking for an experienced Associate Director / Directorto join their successful team based in their Sydney office.
The candidate can come from a Project Management Consultancy, Client Side or a Head Contractor with excellent progression opportunities.
The primary focus of this role initially will be delivery of work, winning and securing work, having a strong relationships and contacts will be required, as well as managing and maintaining current client relationships. Assisting with tender and proposal preparations and submissions. You will also be working with and mentoring a small team of project managers and recruiting other project managers as required.
Having excellent communication skills and client facing skills is necessary.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Business Development strategy development
- Provide mentorship to junior members of the team and offer guidance
- Manage and lead the Human Resources to support delivery of the projects
- Managing the tender/proposal preparations and submissions
- Maintain strong client relations
- Preparation and maintenance of Project Plans
- Managing change/variations, risk/opportunities etc
- Develop and maintain strong network and deliver outstanding services
- Construction management of project delivery
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Building, Project Management or similar
- 8 - 15+ years’ experience in a Client Side PM role, head contractor experience would also be ideal
- Strong Business Development experience
- Proven end to end project management skills from concept through to completion
- Exposure to program management, managing timelines and critical paths
- Experience of end to end project management on a variety of building projects, commercial fit out would be an advantage
- Superior leaderships and mentorship skills
- Excellent communication skillset both written and verbal
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to think on your feet and excellent problem solving skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project as well as experience with various industry standard contract forms ie; GC21, MW21, AS4000, AS4122 and AS4902
