Reporting to the Director of Information Technology Services, this highly valued position is responsible for the leadership and management of operational activity for information and communication technologies (ICT) for Bond University.
The incumbent will oversee, plan, direct and manage the day-to-day operational activities for the Office of Information Technology Services and be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of operational service delivery to ensure that teaching, learning and research as well as all front-of-house and back-of-house technology components are maximised and enhanced.
The role is a key point of contact with the IT Services department for senior colleagues and student leaders within the University. In this capacity, the successful applicant will be responsible for building a high performing and customer excellence focused team characterised through teamwork, open discussion, strong morale and a focus on results towards the continuous improvement of the customer technology experience within the University.
About the person
The successful applicant will have experience at a senior management level, along with:
- A bachelor's degree in information technology or relevant degree (Computer Science or ICT) coupled with extensive technical knowledge gained through education, training and experience
- Strong leadership, people management, interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
- The ability to motivate, influence, negotiate with and build productive working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to build capability in teams through coaching, performance feedback, conflict resolution and career development opportunities
- Extensive knowledge of ICT trends, developments, infrastructures, frameworks and applications with demonstrated experience in these areas
- Demonstrated operational experience along with strong budgeting, analytical and planning skills
