The Opportunity
A newly created role, Mount Private Hospital is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join our leadership team as the Associate Director of Nursing. This position will provide professional nursing leadership to the inpatient ward NUMs whilst providing the daily operational lead as our Patient Flow service lead.
Key functions include:
- Lead the daily bed meeting and coordinate the patient flow for the hospital
- Partner with the ADON, Perioperative Services to provide a seamless service to patients and VMOs
- Grow and lead the team in providing, safe, informed, adaptive and values-led care
- Have an engaging approach to supporting VMOs
About You
You will be an experienced professional nursing leader with excellent interpersonal skills and a patient-centric focus. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have thorough understanding of patient care in a private hospital and proven ability to manage change and influence nursing in achieving excellent clinical outcomes.
To be successful in your application, you will:
- Hold AHPRA registration (essential)
- Post graduate qualification in leadership, nursing, or relatable discipline (desirable)
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership in an acute hospital setting
- Demonstrate astute commercial understanding of labour hours and patient flow
- Have excellent communication skills & a strong desire to partner with internal stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrate a coaching leadership style
- Demonstrable experience to translate the national standards into practical application proven experience in developing models of care
