Nursing Director - Clinical Quality

The role:

• Demonstrate high level leadership and management experience in guiding activities of the team to meet the statewide Clinical Quality and safety strategic objectives of the Department of Health.
• Provide senior leadership and specialist expert advice on Clinical Quality and safety assessment and improvement initiatives, including coordinating the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the Quality Governance Framework for Tasmania's Public Health and Human Services Systems (or equivalent).
• Research and analyse state, national and international clinical data, best practice improvement and quality and safety initiatives and provide specialist advice on Clinical Quality and safety improvement opportunities for the Tasmanian health system.
• Develop productive relationships, networks and linkages within the Group and Unit, other Agency units, relevant state and national organisations and other key stakeholders in relation to Clinical Quality and safety.

Details of AppointmentPermanent full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

• Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $134,445 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
• Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility:Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria: * Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable: * Current Driver's Licence

• Relevant post graduate qualifications
