Responsibilities- Provide management and leadership to the hardware team and their initiatives within the organisation
- Contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards, by drawing on your firmware development experience
- Provide mentoring to personnel to improve performance and enable career growth, including providing feedback through regular 1-on-1s and performance reviews
- Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
- Network with key contacts outside own area of expertise, which would allow you the ability to influence others in the organisation as to best practice development, by being familiar with the work of teams other than your own
- Be an individual contributor within the team as a firmware engineer, keeping your development skills sharp by contributing to the code base, performing code reviews, and participating in sprint work as required
- Ensures solutions are consistent with organisation objectives
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Engineering, Management, or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in a Firmware Engineer role
- Strong communication skills
- Some demonstrated leadership and people management skills in a small team
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
