Due to growth, an opening has arisen to appoint an Associate Investment Specialist. This role is an excellent career opportunity with the potential for growth and will offer mentorship from their experienced leadership team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Working alongside senior stakeholders (team of 4) within a boutique, we are looking for an Associate, that will be part of the Investment Specialist / Distribution team but work very closely and have exposure to all aspects of the firm, including the CIO and the Investment Team.
We seek applicants ideally with circa 2-4 years direct asset management experience who have consistently demonstrated that they are at the top of their peer group and who are keen to take the next step in their career.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support a Senior Investment Specialist and Senior Relationship Managers on all ongoing sales, client service and communication with clients and prospects
- Perform monthly and ongoing research of peers/competitors, market trends and threats and advising of notable changes to the Distribution & Investment teams
- Work with the Distribution team to develop marketing collateral including presentations and other relevant materials required to describe and position assigned strategies
- Oversee the regular updating and development/enhancement of marketing material, such as pitchbook presentations, for client meetings and updates.
- Assist with updating and maintaining Salesforce (CRM system)
- Facilitating the Monthly/Quarterly portfolio updates to clients and prospects using Salesforce
- Take the lead to provide solutions, automate, and enhance presentations, commentaries etc. – from data to marketing content.
- Assist with the positioning and messaging of strategies
- Conduct analysis and exhibit high-level product and market knowledge and collaborate with the CIO and Head of Investment Specialists on adhoc requests for white papers and other marketing material
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Tertiary qualifications (preferably in Commerce/Business/Economics/Accounting) will be highly regarded
- Ideally 2-4 years’ experience in an asset management related role
- Institutional sales or client service experience ins highly regarded
- Outstanding analytical, research and relationship management skills and high-level PowerPoint, excel spreadsheet
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to operate without supervision on a proactive basis
- Ability to identify and understand sophisticated client needs and respond in a timely, professional manner
