Reports to the Head of XCS Trading globally and Head of Structured Solutions locally, the Associate – Rates Trader is responsible for Rates Trading in London as part of London Linear Rates business. The person in this role will work very closely with the rest of the global team in contributing to the achievement of the Rates business objectives in Europe & America. The role will support all segments of the Linear Rates business in Europe & America – Australia & New Zealand Bonds & Swaps, G4 Swaps and XCCY Swaps.
You will support lead traders in identifying and developing core customer relationships as well as provide support for business initiatives to improve revenue growth and productivity.

'What will you bring?'
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Some experience and awareness in Rates Trading.
- Demonstrate some product knowledge.
- Good working knowledge of relevant regulatory framework and requirements within Europe & America market would be a distinct advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively.
- Eagerness to learn and grow.
- High levels of honesty, reliability and dependability.
- Strong work ethic, willingness to work outside usual business hours when required.
- Strong academic background, ideally in a discipline such as Mathematics, Science or Engineering but can also be an Economics/Commerce background.
- Strong quantitative skills and modelling capabilities.
- Coding experience is an advantage.
