- Acquisitions and divestments in the mining and energy sectors, including infrastructure and energy transition-related assets
- Joint ventures, JOAs, shareholders agreements and farm-in arrangements
- Critical minerals developments, including lithium and copper, both within Australia and offshore
- Helping our clients to supply their customers with the natural resources and energy they need to support the transition to a low carbon economy
- Land tenure, access and approvals for project development, key infrastructure and expansions
- Other commercial contracts in the sector, including commodity offtake agreements and transportation arrangements
- Experience working in the mining and energy sectors at a leading Australian practice or international firm. This could be within a corporate / M&A team or within a project development focussed group.
- Experience advising on M&A transactions and/or project development.
- An genuine interest in the sectors, a willingness to learn and a growth mindset.
- The ability or potential to effectively manage large matters and play a key role as part of a team working on large matters.
- Willingness to build a deep understanding of our clients and their business, and to develop effective working relationships with them.
- Ability to establish a strong external profile and deep networks with mining and energy partitioners and adjacent areas across our offices nationally and within the region.
- A desire to learn, develop, network and mentor others.
