About The Role

We are looking for an Associate/Senior Associate (4+ years PAE) to join a leading firm working in the employment dispute and industrial litigation area.
You will be supported by Principals recognised nationally as leaders in the employment/industrial law area. Acting for a diverse client base, you will have the opportunity to gain broad exposure and elevate your career.
Day to day:
- Fair Work Act contravention Court claims, including litigating general protection, NES, Award and EBA contraventions
- Representation and advocacy in industrial disputes in both the FWC and state industrial commissions
- Employment contracts disputes, including wrongful termination and incentive scheme disputes
- Employment disciplinary processes
- Restraint of trade and confidentiality matters
- Unfair dismissal matters
- Unlawful termination, discrimination and sexual harassment claims
- Professional conduct and discipline concerning regulated professions.
- Tertiary qualification in Law and a current Practicing Certificate
- Suitable candidates will bring 4+ years PAE working principally in Employment Law preferably gained in a legal practice
- Demonstrate critical reasoning and investigative skills with the ability to think laterally
- Strong legal drafting ability
- Effective and timely file management and billing ability
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent influencing and negotiation capability
- Competitive salary package up to $160k (depending on experience)
