Associate/Senior Associate - Family Law

We are looking for an experienced Associate or Senior Associate to join our Family Law Team based primarily in our Headquarters in Parramatta.

The successful applicant will be able to hit the ground running having:

• prior experience working in a highly regarded Family Law practice or law firm;
• exposure to a broad spectrum of complex Family Law work including, but not limited to:

o Property and financial disputes;
o Children & Parenting disputes;
o Divorce applications;
o De Facto relationship matters;
o Apprehended Domestic violence orders;
o Child support matters; and
o Financial agreements;

• experience working in Local, District, Federal & Family Courts of Australia;
• ability to provide strategic and commercially focused legal advice to business partners, internal stakeholders and the like;
• proven capability of mentoring and/or supervising staff;
• interest in developing their own business development activities with a view to helping grow the practice;
• strong advocacy and client management skills;
• passion for Family Law, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients through empathy and active listening;
• excellent communication and attention to detail;
• high level of organisation, prioritisation, initiative, proactivity and professionalism;
• the ability to work independently and as part of a team; and
• strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.
