- Efficiently track, update, and report on all assigned tasks through the Lumicom support portal, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Foster collaboration with internal departments to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Primary Duties
- Install, move, and modify audio-visual equipment and other related equipment following job specifications, standards, and procedures.
- Manage connections within systems, such as patching in equipment racks.
- Execute cable pulling & terminations with proficiency in soldering.
- Ensure proper mounting of various equipment including LCDs, projectors, speakers, and other audio-visual components, ensuring they are secure, level, and centered.
- Read and interpret schematic diagrams and drawings to effectively install and troubleshoot systems.
- Provide constructive feedback to project engineers as needed.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and undertake the necessary repair actions.
- Conduct standardised test procedures to ensure systems functionality.
- Maintain and repair equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and specifications.
- Accurately maintain and report records of hours worked and materials used.
- Train customers on system use and maintenance procedures.
- Respond to service calls as required.
- Perform additional functions incidental to installation activities.
Required Skills and Experience
- Must hold a current driver’s license.
- Possession of a White Card certificate.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the field.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings and schematics.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of the AV industry and its components.
- Familiarity with AV Control Systems and programming.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Effective time management abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
