Position - AUDIO VISUAL SUPPORT OFFICER
The position reports to Senior Audio-Visual Support Officer
Duration: 6 months
Must be an Australian Citizenship to obtain clearance.
Role Purpose
The Audio Visual (AV) Support Officer is responsible for providing technical support during public examinations and to provide AUDIO VISUAL assistance and support to internal and external clients with the use and operation of audio-visual conferencing equipment in client spaces for virtual private examinations, video conferences, events and meetings.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide excellent customer and technical support to internal and external clients in meetings virtual private and public examinations and events in order to provide the best service and virtual examination outcomes.
- Support the virtual examination video conferencing technology as well as assist with supporting the maintenance of virtual examination equipment and environment.
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve issues relating to AV systems are they arise, and escalate matters to the Senior Audio-Visual Officer where applicable.
- Review and analyse video conferencing activities and make recommendations on improvements.
- Have strong communication skills and enjoy working both autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Provide 1st level telephone and remote support for virtual conferences, events and meetings.
- Assist and support the Digital Services team by managing IT service request tickets.
Technical Expertise
- Audio Visual Technician experience in corporate events is preferred, an understanding and proficiency in the following tasks:
o Setting up and managing vision systems with multiple sources and outputs;
o Setting up and operating vision switching equipment and software, such as vMix;
o Setting up, managing and operating PTZ cameras;
o Knowledge of NDI (Network Device Interface) software standard for use in a live production environment;
o Setting up and operating audio systems with multiple inputs and outputs.
Experience supporting video conferencing infrastructure and AV equipment.
Sound understanding of networking and internet telecommunications.
