The Role

Are you passionate about audio-visual technology and eager to kick-start your career in a dynamic and innovative industry? We are currently seeking a Trainee Audio-Visual Installer to join our growing team and embark on an exciting journey in the world of cutting-edge audio-visual solutions whilst also studying to gain a National certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist Installation: Collaborate with experienced technicians to install and configure audio-visual systems in various settings, including corporate offices, educational institutions, and entertainment venues.
• Equipment Setup: Learn to set up and troubleshoot a variety of audio-visual equipment, including projectors, sound systems, video conferencing solutions, and interactive displays.
• Cabling and Wiring: Gain hands-on experience in cable management, rack building/customization, routing, and termination, ensuring installations are clean, organised, and comply with industry standards.
• Testing and Quality Control: Conduct thorough testing of audio-visual systems to guarantee optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Assist in identifying and resolving technical issues.
• Client Interaction: Work closely with clients to understand their specific needs and provide basic training on system operation. Develop excellent customer service skills to address client concerns and inquiries.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of installations, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. Learn to create as-built drawings and update technical documentation.
• Stay Informed: Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance your skills and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services.

Skills and Experience

• Education: High school or equivalent. Relevant technical certifications or coursework in audio-visual technology is a plus.
• Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of audio-visual equipment and technology. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry advancements.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Team Player: Collaborative attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment. Willingness to take direction and learn from experienced technicians.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and carry equipment, climb ladders, and work in various physical conditions during installations.
