The Role

Due to ongoing company growth, we're seeking an Audit & Assurance Associate to join our growing Risk & Compliance team at Automic. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating external audits, designing and delivering internal assurance programs, and driving the continuous improvement of our Governance, Risk & Compliance practices. With the support of a knowledgeable team, you will oversee and manage Line 3, while also supporting Lines 1 and 2. 

The ideal candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications, strong project management skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and experience in audit and assurance methodologies and risk management frameworks. Responsibilities

• Facilitate internal controls reports and manage external GS007 audit engagement
• Maintain ISO9001 Quality Management System certification through internal auditing and managing external certification audit engagement
• Develop and maintain risk-based internal audit and assurance plans
• Manage co-sourced model of internal and outsourced internal audit
• Provide insight from audit and assurance activities to inform decision-making
• Deliver value-added insight to the business and tailor audit approach for the right risks
• Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate internal assurance programs and draft high-quality reports on progress and results

  Assist in the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and other financial reports

  Prepare and maintain detailed audit working papers in accordance with firm policies and industry standards
