The Opportunity
Nexia Sydney is expanding, and we are looking to bring on a new Audit Associate Director.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior Audit professional looking to take the next step in their career.
The Associate Director is responsible for managing the division's client base and working closely with our Audit & Assurance Partners and the Audit team. The role
Manage multiple engagements at the same time
Plan audit assignments and coordinate training and development
Finalise and review audits at a high quality for Partner review
Identify risks in audit, engagement, litigation and ethics in a changing environment
Manage team performance
Lead the team to reach their full potential
Actively participate and support Partners in the conduct of:
Tenders
Special assignments and reports
Practice development
Client account management
Networking and identify business development opportunities
The Associate Director is expected to develop opportunities through individual and firm contacts in order to expand the client base.
About you
The successful candidate will fulfil the following criteria:
Have a minimum of 10 years' experience in a Chartered firm including a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Senior Audit Manager
Have completed a post graduate qualification, e.g. the CA program
Expert understanding of accounting standards and reporting responsibilities, with the ability to pass this knowledge onto others
Expert in technical issues such as changes to legislation and/or its application, changes in reporting requirements, etc
Able to use advanced analytical techniques
Excellent negotiation skills;
Demonstrate strong communication skills, both oral and written
Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
