Job description

Description
In this role, you'll become a key player in ensuring that Amazon and its transportation partners, who work with Amazon to deliver packages to our customers, are in compliance with regulatory and Amazon's requirements.
This is a small but growing team, meaning you'll play an instrumental role in developing the function, defining and developing the value that we offer to our business partners, and how we achieve strategic goals, in a business which continues to grow rapidly.
Key job responsibilities
To succeed in this role, you will need experience in audit, risk, controls, and project management. You will execute audits on external transportation partners, to validate that they are in compliance with regulatory and Amazon's requirements. The audit programs are defined, and you will need to manage a yearly audit plan, and own the end-to-end audit lifecycle. Key stakeholders in this includes transport operations, legal, public policy, and other compliance teams.
As the role evolves and you learn more about the business, you will become involved in other projects, such as increasing audit automation and efficiency, and execution of risk assessments. This is an opportunity for you to build a trusted adviser relationship, and eventually advise the business on Risk and Compliance issues for new transportation initiatives. With all new programs, there will be ambiguity, and building solutions despite ambiguity will become an important part of this role.
Transport is a wide discipline, and you will have an opportunity to learn about a range of disciplines, such as employment law, safety, driver licensing, etc, in addition to performing periodic site visits.
To bring in best practices, you'll also connect, work with and learn from colleagues globally on a regular basis.
A day in the life
To learn about the business, you'll start by conducting compliance audits around our external transportation partners. You'll work end-to-end to communicate with partners, request and review documentation against a defined compliance program, communicate gaps, and track committed actions. If there are material issues, you'll work with Operations and Legal to determine appropriate next steps.
About the team
We work closely with colleagues throughout the world to network and share information and best practices. Our vision is to help the business do the right thing for both Amazon and the broader community, while still driving business growth.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
