About the role
- Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, Energy Zones & Development, the Legal Counsel (Infrastructure Development) is responsible for providing strategic legal advice and support to the business, in particular the Development and Future Networks division;
- As part of an established team, on a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for advising on land tenure, environment, planning, cultural heritage/native title matters and other general commercial matters across AusNet’s business to support the development and delivery of major infrastructure; and drafting and negotiating a variety of complex commercial agreements;
- Comprehensive support and mentoring from experienced practitioners offered to develop your career through the energy transition;
- Candidates should be well equipped to navigate a fast paced work environment and confident to handle a broad range of responsibilities.
About you
- Candidates offering ideally 5+ years’ quality experience in property and/or planning law is essential to be successful in the role;
- A positive attitude, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders are essential
