- Full-time fixed-term contracts until December 2024 are available in northern and southern regions (Part-time contract can be considered minimum 0.6 FTE).
- Salary Range: $82K - $88K + Super

About the role
Working under general direction from the Business Unit Lead & Senior Autism Engagement Advisor – School Services, this role is responsible and accountable for delivering high-level, short term and intensive support to schools and educators so they can better support students on the autism spectrum to achieve their educational goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Observe, record, and communicate key aspects of an individual’s functional needs in their learning environment to educators
- Upskill, support, and assist educators to implement strategic interventions
- Development of goals for future support based on the individual’s functional needs assessment for the allocated support timeframe.
- Liaise and work collaboratively alongside educators in the school setting
- Provide high-quality written reports including the oversight of the individual functional needs of children and young people within their learning environments and recommendations
- Consistently maintain accurate client records and client progress notes using the SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assessment & Plan) format.
About you
You have the relevant qualifications, expertise, and experience to provide person-centered NDIS therapeutic support and services. The competencies required for this role include:
- Completed Tertiary / University education with relevant Disability / Psychology / Education Degree
- Relevant experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum and in an educational setting/environment
- Significant understanding and experience in delivering evidence-based strategies & support for children on the autism spectrum
- Strong people / problem-solving skills & the ability to work effectively autonomously
- Strong knowledge of the Not-for-profit sector, NDIS, and its environment
Screening & Employment requirements
Satisfactory outcomes for the following probity checks will be required as a part of your employment:
- DHS Working with Children Check.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- National Police Check (NPC);
- Catholic Education Clearance; and
- Drivers Licence (C class)
