About the Role:

The primary focus of this role is to support the product sold through the Company, by diligently carrying out maintenance, repair and recondition jobs as directed to a satisfactory standard of quality workmanship and in a safe and timely manner.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Perform quality maintenance, repair and recondition jobs on all equipment sold and/or serviced by the Company as directed by Leading Hand or immediate supervisor
• Research and consult the correct and latest service information systems for specific procedures, instructions and specifications
• Research and use the correct and latest parts and service information systems to order parts, as well as the guide to correct disassembly/assembly details
• Take all reasonable steps to ensure that assigned tasks are free of faulty workmanship, assuring quality in the finished product
• Carry out all repairs using the appropriate control guidelines to ensure that rework jobs do not occur. This is to include check sheets, quality control procedures and guidelines for reusable parts
• Ensure all assigned tasks are completed within required target times
• Determine reusability of all disassembled parts
• Ensure that the latest or improved parts are fitted/used on each job

To be successful for this role you will need the following:

• Trade Qualified – Auto Electrician
• Three to five years’ post trade experience in the Auto electrical or equivalent industry working on machinery

Skills / Competencies:

• Diagnostic skills to ensure a fault/issue is identified to its root cause before parts replacement
• Competent skills and experience to diagnose, repair, rebuild and replace Electronic and/or fiber optic
• Competent to repair and replace Dynamic Control and Electronic Drive Management Systems
• Competent and license to repair Vehicle Air Conditioning Systems
