The Role:
The Auto Electrician supports our workshop operations by ensuring that vehicle servicing and repair requirements are completed effectively and efficiently, within established time frames as defined by Workshop Manager and in accordance with CDC NSW procedures and manufactures’ guidelines.
What you will do:
- Maintaining, repairing and servicing our fleet
- Identifying, reporting and repairing vehicle defects
- Prepare vehicles for inspection by Roads and Maritime Services
- Conducting planned maintenance in accordance with workshop schedules
- Completing assigned duties in a safe, clean, competent and timely manner
- Liaise with Workshop Supervisors about job status and workshop priorities
- Entering accurate information into fleet maintenance software
- Perform an on-call/afterhours breakdown service
- Proactive role in identification, control and reporting of hazards
About You:
If you are passionate about working on buses and have:
- A current Trade Certificate/s
- Previous experience in the Heavy Vehicle Inspection process conducted by the RMS
- Heavy vehicle experience
- MR or HR driver's licence or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work unsupervised, show initiative and self-motivated
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to adhere to regulation guidelines
- The ability to establish and maintain good working relationships
What we can offer you:
- $3000 Sign-on Bonus if you are an experienced heavy vehicle Auto Electrician
- Wage circa $100,000 - $120,000 per annum
- Continuing training and mentoring
- Working on modern bus fleet of 180+ including double deckers, bendy buses and coaches
- Opportunities for overtime and to be on the on-call roster
- Working in modern and well-equipped workshops along with OEM training and support
- Flexibility with AM & PM shifts
